Waylon's Story

December 2014 (Adopted March 2014)
I hope that you had a great Thanksgiving and a very merry Christmas!!

I am sorry it has been a little while since I sent some new pictures and updates on our handsome Waylon!

David is from Florida and his family still lives there, so this year we took the camper and the pups down to Florida for Thanksgiving. We stayed for 10 days at an RV resort with a gigantic dog park and a lot of great walking trails, we had a blast! These two pups are such good travelers and campers! David has two grand kids; they are 2.5 and 1.5 years old. His granddaughter, Amairah (2.5), loved Nala and Waylon, and they loved her.

David & I spent Christmas with my side of the family and we did our big celebration at my dad’s house this year- 4 dogs, 11 adults and two children (my best friends 1 year old baby and my mom’s boyfriends 8 year old son). My sister has some better pictures on her camera but I just haven’t made a copy of her photos yet. I did attach two pictures of Waylon with AJ; he is my best friends’ 1 year old son. They loved each other and were so cute together!! Waylon and Nala had so much fun! Santa Paws was very good to both of them- new toys, new beds and of course some more treats! We were at my dad’s house for most of the day on Christmas, Nala wore herself out with all of the excitement so she went into one of the bedrooms, curled up on the bed, and fell asleep, but sweet Waylon fell asleep in the middle of the living room on top of his new stuffed snowman!

This last month has been a little eventful with the holiday season, but these two troopers have made it all more enjoyable for everyone they have been around! I will send some more pictures when I have them, and I hope I didn’t overload you with pictures this time around.

Waylon fits in so perfectly with our family and has the best disposition. He & Nala are the best of friends and follow each other everywhere. He is a great traveler and camper and he & Nala are good bed sleepers 🙂 Waylon loves to gives hugs & kisses to everyone he meets, he is super friendly and sweet. We could not have asked for a better dog or a better fit for our family. He is such a joy every day. David, Nala & I are thankful to have him as a part of our pack. It has only been 6 months, but it feels like longer. He still hides under the living room table, but he doesn’t fit as well as he use to so now its pretty funny. And he still sits on Nala (or anyone who will let him! its cute). Mine & David’s families adore him also. We are so grateful for you & FTTF for saving his life (and those of so many others!) and for allowing us to bring this precious boy into our home.
Waylon’s 1st birthday is today, September 23, so we had a homemade pup-friendly cake (pumpkin & sweet potato cake with pumpkin cream cheese “icing”) and he of course received a few new toys 🙂
Attached are a few new pics of Waylon (and one with his sister Nala & his cousins Alfie & Edge)

We love this little man more & more every single day. He is the sweetest pup who loves to give kisses and hugs. Waylon and his sister Nala (we had her before we adopted Waylon) have bonded better than we could have even hoped for. He has the sweetest disposition and is good with kids, babies, other dogs, and everyone he meets. Waylon loves to chase tennis balls and falling leaves, go for walks in the park and go camping, he also loves to cuddle at the end of a long day. We could never thank FTTF enough for saving his mommy and his litter, and thank you for everything you do for all the wonderful pitties!
I attached several recent photos of this silly little guy 🙂
